«SPITAK» DIRECTED BY ALEXANDER KOTT IS LONG-LISTED BY THE ACADEMY AWARDS

“Spitak” directed by Alexander Kott is representing Armenia at the Best International Feature Film section of the Academy Awards. “Spitak” is the largest Armenian-Russian co-production supported by the Eurimage Foundation. The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has published a list of films that will compete for the Best International Feature Film Award. This year, the list includes films from 87 countries. Five films selected for the final short list will be announced on January 22, 2019. The Oscars ceremony will be held on February 24, 2019 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
"Spitak" will be released on November 29 in Russia to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the tragedy.
